The Caddy is designed to be the ultimate multi-tasker - part sedan, part hatch, a little estate, and of course, a bit of bus. Because these days, having the space to be spontaneous is a luxury you can't afford to live without.

The Caddy is BIG on space, with a wheelbase of over 2.6 metres (And now there's the Caddy Maxi, which is 3.0 metres), and a height of over 1.8 metres, there's plenty of room for everyone on board. The 1, 35 m long loading space (with seats folded forward) can take whatever you throw at it. And those oddly shaped things that you find yourself having to move from time to time? Well, they can easily be transported now, as the Caddy's rear 3-seater bench can be completely folded forward.

All models (except the 1.6i) boast dual sliding doors that open with ease, each with an opening of 70 cm. And now that the 7-seater Caddy Maxi boasts a longer wheelbase and extended rear overhang, there's additional, generous legroom and luggage space. Boasting colour coded bumpers, exterior mirrors and door handles, in addition to six loudspeakers and variable seats that can be arranged in a multitude of different options, the Caddy Life Maxi isn't simply big on space, but big on style too.

The Caddy boasts five models, available as 1.6i petrol engine or a 1.9 diesel engine with either derivative available as standard or Life models. The Caddy Life offers more specification and options, allowing you to live life the way you want.

And now, introducing the Caddy Life Maxi. This 7-seater Caddy Life Maxi boasts a longer wheelbase and extended rear overhang with 16" steel wheels and a 6-speaker sound system.

Built on the cutting-edge platform of the new Golf, Volkswagen's Caddy isn't shy about performing on the open road. Under the bonnet you'll find an engine ready and willing to deliver you to almost any destination. With a 5-speed manual transmission 4-cylinder engine that powers out an incredible 148 Nm of torque at 3800 rpm in the 1.6i, taking you up to a speed of 164 km/h. The even more robust 77kW 1.9 TDI powers 250 Nm at only 1900 rpm, allowing for a top speed of 166 km/h. This People Mover can take you where you want to go.

Innovative fuel-saving technologies means you'll use a lot less fuel to get wherever you need to go, whilst power steering across the range makes every journey a pleasure. Fuel injection is standard for added power, and of course, Volkswagen's renowned TDI technology ensures turbo-charged power and fuel efficiency on the 1.9 models, without compromising on performance.

Safety is not compromised in the Caddy range with essential features such as driver airbags, high-level brake lights, ABS (Anti-lock Brake System), ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation), EBC (Engine Braking Control), 3-point automatic seat-belts and ISOFIX child seat mountings on seats in the passenger compartment. To ensure outstanding road handling, the range has 15" rims, front and rear stabiliser bars and 195/65 tyres (205/55 tyres in the Caddy Maxi).

What's more, a standard immobiliser and unbreakable steering lock add to security of your Caddy.
